The business was established in 1985 in Broadwater Road, Worthing by John Ponsford. In 1990 he expanded and moved to our present modern offices in Ham Road. Subsequently Paul Russell joined the partnership and to recognise this the firm became Russell Ponsford The Estate Agents in 2000. Following the untimely death of John Ponsford, Paul took full control of the firm.

The changes made over the years reflect the development and growth of the business into today's modern, multi disciplined estate agency practice utilising the latest technology and fully equipped to deal with the challenges facing the profession in the twenty first century. Our overriding philosophy is to provide clients with a full range of Estate Agency services in an efficient and professional manner at reasonable cost coupled with providing the high levels of personal service that have always been the hallmark of the company.

In 2005 we were proud to become the first estate agent to be approved by West Sussex Trading Standards under their Buy With Confidence Scheme. This involved a full audit of our business practices and a detailed questionnaire completed by randomly selected clients.
